Stakeholders from the Events, Technical & Production Services Sector (ETPS) are invited to add their voice in the finalisation of Sector Transformation B-BBEE Code, by attending one of 5 Webinars that were scheduled for the purpose above.
The format for all the 5 Webinars will be as follows:
– 30 mins: presentation of the draft transformation codes
– 2:00 hrs: Deliberations by attending members of the public
– 30 mins: Summation of proceedings and way forward
The 5 Webinars will be led by a panel of sector experts who have been configured as the Events Technical and Production Transformation Forum (ETPTF).
The ETPTF was initially formally established by the Minister of Trade and Industry to further the objectives of transformation within the Events Technical and Production Services Sector.
To this end, the Forum was mandated to draft an Event, Technical and Production Services Industry Sector Code as per Government gazette No. 36928 of October 2013.
The process was later on handed to the DSAC to provide support to the ETPTF for the facilitation of the national consultations and finalisation of the draft Sector Code prior to Gazetting which will be facilitated by the DTIC.
The draft Sector Transformation Code is available here: https://bit.ly/etps-code-access, and can be used to prepare for the deliberations in the Webinars.
When the public consultative process has been completed, the Sector Transformation Code will be gazetted and approved as the official Events Technical and Production Services Industry B-BBEE Sector Code.
